Question by RR: What is the difference between a wedding ring and a wedding band?
And what should a wedding band look like?
How can you tell the difference from a normal ring to a wedding ring?
Are wedding rings always made of gold?
How much should a simple wedding ring/band cost?

ok so your wedding ring is the ring you get when u are engaged. it belongs on your ring finger [ironic yes?] and that is how u tell it is a wedding ring and not a regular ring. when u actually get married u get the wedding band which goes under the wedding ring. traditionally wedding rings are gold or white gold but realy u can do watever you want.
if it were me id get silver

Question by Momof4gr8boiz: No wedding band Traditional , non-traditional what do you think?
I recently after 4 years of marriage, replaced my wedding wrap (solitare enhancer) and my engagment ring with a Antique leaf design, filigree and milgrain worth $ 2000 and .30 carats, yet I have a solitare 1.25 ct., I don’t wear a typical wedding band as the jeweler use to always ask if I wanted the rings combined, sautered together. I am just asking because a few of my girlfriends commented on why aren’t you wearing your wedding band? I said because I am using this one as such. How many women (husbands/family and friends can answer for the wives as well) still wear you engagment ring or what is your moral of it all?

Question by nextchef: Lots of questions(guys opinions) on Mens wedding bands?
My boyfriend and I have decided to make it a race to the proposal. The rules are whoever proposes first wins and whoever doesn’t can either give the ring they chose for the other person that day or whenever they’d like. They can plan a completely diff proposal also. K here are my questions ..(would like some guys opinions too please) If I propose first, is that ok? I mean does it make him feel less manly?
and now to the rings. i found a perfect ring online (but only if i can make some minor adjustments)should I trust anything that isn’t Zales,Kays etc.. how much should I spend? Can I get a foreign language engraved? Can a diamond be put into any ring even if it originally doesn’t have a spot for one?
If so, I’m really digging this one..whatcha think?

Question by Tinker balla: What wedding band should I get with this ring?
http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3571057
That’s my ring, but with a round stone. It come up really high off the finger, and the band is 3mm wide.
The problem is that the band on my ring is is flat, and i wanted a plain wedding ring to go with it, but those R all rounded on the top. They say flat bands arent sold there bc they can’t do comfort fit. they also said flat bands warp over time, while the 1/2 rounds dont.

Question by DanyL: What kind of ring to get my fiance for our wedding day?
I was under the assumption that I would have gotten him a white gold band that looked good with my set. I have been online looking at rings before going into the store, and the majority of the rings are triton tungsten and titanium. A lot of them are nice, but since it’s not gold like my set, I kind of feel cheap, like I got this extravigant white gold set and he gets this cheap band (even though they really aren’t that cheap).
Is it normal for guys to get triton tungsten and titanium wedding bands? That’s what all the best looking seem to be made of.
Very good idea about taking him to pick out his own…I agree, wouldn’t want him to not like his ring.
It’s not as much wondering if it would be cheap of me to get him one, but more wondering when the switch from gold to titanium and tungsten was? I had never noticed it before.
